SUMMARY:Handgun Skills and Advanced Tactics
DESCRIPTION:Handgun Skills and Advanced Tactics is a pistol course designed specifically for those who are looking to improve their foundation and skills. This class will assist with taking you to the next level when using your handgun. During the class\, students will receive lecture covering various topics pertaining to handgun skills and tactics. Students are given advanced skills and a mindset to carry and use a handgun for defensive purposes. Students will learn to use their firearm safely\, quickly\, and instinctively by having the opportunity to perform dry firing drills under the guidance of a Certified Instructor; thus giving them the chance to practice the skills learned prior to attempting them under live fire conditions. The live fire drills will then be used to reinforce all the topics covered during the training. Again\, Handgun Skills and Advanced Tactics was designed to take you to the next level and help you to understand the importance of the skill set needed to properly handle and use a firearm for defensive purposes. If you currently use or have considered using your firearm for protection purposes\, Handgun Skills and Advanced Tactics is for you! \nTopics Covered:\nStudents will begin this course with a review of the Four Firearm Safety Rules and Seven Fundamentals of Shooting a Handgun. Then we will quickly move into the skills and tactics needed to properly deploy and use a handgun for defensive purposes. This will include the proper technique for drawing from a holster and getting on target instinctively. We will cover combat and tactical reloading. Students will be trained in the immediate action drill\, as well as how to recognize and fix a type 1\, 2\, or 3 malfunction. As we move forward\, we will train on different shooting positions while also working on strong hand and support hand only shooting\, partnered with shooting from behind cover and at moving targets. Shot placement and failure drills will also be discussed. \nStudent Requirements:\n\nAt least one serviceable handgun\nAt least 3 magazines or speed loaders\nA good quality strong side holster designed for the handgun being used (No cross draw or shoulder holsters allowed\, Nylon holsters are also not   recommended) also a spare magazine pouch\nEye and Ear protection and proper range attire\n200 rounds of new manufactured ammunition for range use\nAlso recommended  Knee Pads (Drills will be conducted on gravel)\nA snack and something to drink\n\n  \nTuition: $185.  This includes your range fee.  Successful completion of this class by demonstrating safe gun handling skills will earn you a $25 voucher for future classes with Defensive Shooting Concepts. \nThank you for your consideration and contact me if you have any further questions or would like to discuss options for training.

DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to take your Pistol Caliber Carbine (9mm\, 40 Cal\, 45 ACP) shooting to the next level?   A Carbine in the hands of a properly trained person can effectively control close quarter situations as well as extended range personal defense environments. This course addresses the effective use of the Carbine and will cover some of its advantages and disadvantages when considering it use as a defensive tool. The class emphasis is on quick\, accurate shooting at close to intermediate ranges. This class was designed to be beneficial to the individual who carries a Carbine for his or her current employment; for example\, Military or Law Enforcement (Thank you for your service!)\, as well as the individual that has purchased this platform for personal reasons such as defensive\, sporting and recreational purposes. During the class you will practice skills and techniques that can be used to effectively shoot your rifle quickly and accurately when needed. If you are looking for a place to learn and test your Carbine skills\, then this training class is for you! \nTopics Covered: \nThis course covers safety and the fundamentals of shooting a Pistol Caliber Carbine.  Students will then progress into more specialized and advanced techniques applicable to this type of platform. This training will include instruction on tactical ready positions\, sling usage\, shooting on the move\, alternative shooting positions\, use of cover\, multiple shots\, multiple targets\, and tactical simulations. Firearms such as the AR9\, MCX or MPX\, CZ Scorpion and The Ruger PC Carbine Series are welcome. Low powered optics are optional and also welcome. It is recommended that your rifle includes a good set of back up iron sights if you are using an optic. \nStudent Requirements: \n\nPistol Caliber Carbine in good working order with a minimum of iron sights\n9mm\, 40 Caliber and 45 ACP Carbines welcome. Students will also have the opportunity to preform dry firing drills under the guidance of a certified instructor\, giving them the chance to practice the skills learned prior to attempting them under live fire conditions. The live fire drills used during this course are designed to reinforce all the topics covered during the training. Again\, this course was designed to take you to the next level and help you to understand the importance of the skill set needed to properly handle and use a firearm for defensive purposes. If you do or have considered carrying your firearm outside of your home or office for protection purposes this training is for you. \nTopics Covered:\nStudents will begin this course with a brief review of the basic firearm safety rules and fundamentals of shooting a handgun. From there we will build on the basic skills needed to properly deploy and handle a firearm. This will include the proper technique for drawing from a holster. We will cover loading a firearm from administrative through combat loading. Students will be trained in malfunction drills as well as how to recognize and fix each type of malfunction. SUMMARY:Street Survival Tactics: Care Under Fire
DESCRIPTION:This class is designed to equip you with knowledge of what an impending attack looks like and to have pre-set plans in place so that you can react quickly and effectively.  The course will include limited decision making to include shoot/no shoot\, ranges realistic to the majority of self-defense shootings\, order of engagement with multiple attackers\, moving for your best advantage\, and post-conflict procedures for both shoot and no shoot decisions. \nThe Care Under Fire portion of this class will include the following:  Students will discuss how to assess and recognize a life-threatening injury\, provide effective treatment and extricate the casualty from a hostile situation while maintaining cover and effectively utilizing tactical movement strategies.  The effective treatment includes application of tourniquet\, chest seal and/or wound packing bandages. All items you should consider carrying with you or having access to on a daily basis. \nPrerequisites:\nThis is not a beginner course to learn how to handle a firearm.  You *must* demonstrate safe gun handling.  Safety violations will result in ejection from the class with no refund or running the scenarios with a blue gun at the instructors’ sole discretion. \nEquipment needed:\nA handgun and at least 3 magazines/speed loaders\nA quality holster (Cross Draw and Shoulder Holsters not allowed) and magazine carrier\nEar/eye protection knee pads also recommended\nA cover garment for concealment\, preferably of the type you routinely use.\n250 rounds of new\, manufactured ammunition\nProper range attire for any weather\nBring plenty of fluids to drink and a camping style chair \nTuition: $185.  This includes your range fee.  Successful completion of this class by demonstrating safe gun handling skills will earn you a $25 voucher for future classes with Defensive Shooting Concepts. \nThank you for your consideration and contact me if you have any further questions or would like to discuss options for training.
