SUMMARY:Defensive Pistol Concealed Carry
DESCRIPTION:This Defensive Pistol course is designed specifically for those who are looking to improve their handgun skills and to assist with taking it to the next level when using your handgun for concealed carry purposes. During this course the students will receive lecture covering various topics pertaining to handgun skills. This course gives students advanced skills and mindset to carry and use a handgun for self-defense purposes. In this class\, students learn to use their handgun safely\, quickly\, and instinctively. Students will also have the opportunity to preform dry firing drills under the guidance of a certified instructor\, giving them the chance to practice the skills learned prior to attempting them under live fire conditions. The live fire drills used during this course are designed to reinforce all the topics covered during the training. Again\, this course was designed to take you to the next level and help you to understand the importance of the skill set needed to properly handle and use a firearm for defensive purposes. If you do or have considered carrying your firearm outside of your home or office for protection purposes this training is for you. \nTopics Covered:\nStudents will begin this course with a brief review of the basic firearm safety rules and fundamentals of shooting a handgun. From there we will build on the basic skills needed to properly deploy and handle a firearm. This will include the proper technique for drawing from a holster. We will cover loading a firearm from administrative through combat loading. Students will be trained in malfunction drills as well as how to recognize and fix each type of malfunction. From there we will train on different shooting positions\, the course will also have instruction for offhand shooting and shooting on the move.  This course will also touch briefly on situational awareness and a defensive mindset. \nStudent Requirements:\n\nOne serviceable handgun\nAt least 3 magazines or speed loaders with a proper spare mag holder\nEye and Ear protection and proper range attire for any weather\n200 rounds of new\, manufactured ammunition\nA good quality strong side holster designed for the handgun being used  (No cross  draw or shoulder holsters allowed.  Nylon holsters are also not recommended)\nAlso recommended Elbow and Knee Pads (Drills will Be Conducted On Gravel)\nA sack lunch and plenty of fluids to drink\nCamping/portable chair\n\n  \nTuition: $185.  This includes your range fee.  Successful completion of this class by demonstrating safe gun handling skills will earn you a $25 voucher for future classes with Defensive Shooting Concepts. \nThank you for your consideration and contact me if you have any further questions or would like to discuss options for training.

DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to take your rifle training to the next level? If so\, Defensive Rifle is for you.  A rifle in the hands of a properly trained person can effectively control close quarter situations as well as extended range personal defense environments. This course addresses the effective use of the defensive rifle/carbine. The class emphasis is on quick\, accurate shooting at close to intermediate ranges. This class was designed to be beneficial to the individual who carries a rifle for his or her current employment; for example\, Military or Law Enforcement (Thank you for your service!)\, as well as the individual that has purchased this platform for personal reasons such as defensive\, sporting and recreational purposes. During the class\, you will practice skills and techniques that can be used to effectively shoot your rifle quickly and accurately when needed. If you are looking for a place to learn and test your rifle skills\, then this training class is for you! \nTopics Covered:\nThis course covers safety and the fundamentals of shooting a rifle.  Students will then progress into more specialized and advanced techniques applicable to this type of rifle. This training will include instruction on defensive ready positions\, sling usage\, shooting on the move\, alternative shooting positions\, use of cover\, multiple shots\, multiple targets\, and defensive simulations. Rifles such as the AR-15\, Mini-14\, AK Series are welcome. Low powered optics are optional and also welcome. It is recommended that your rifle includes a good set of back up iron sights if you are using an optic. \nStudent Requirements:\n\nDefensive Rifle in good working order with a minimum of iron sights\n200 rounds of quality ammunition (Reloads not recommended)\n1\, 2 or 3 point sling\n3 Magazines minimum\nAt least one spare magazine pouch\nEye and ear protection (Knee and elbow pads recommended)\nProper range wear for outdoor weather (Rain or Shine)\nSack lunch and plenty of water\n\n  \nTuition: $185.  This includes your range fee.  Successful completion of this class by demonstrating safe gun handling skills will earn you a $25 voucher for future classes with Defensive Shooting Concepts. \nThank you for your consideration and contact me if you have any further questions or would like to discuss options for training.
